Director of Business Services for Clare County:

This position is for you! Michigan Works! Region 7B has an opening for a Director of Business Services in Clare County. You will serve as a resource for business, providing direction and aiding them in their success, growth, and profitability. Including, but not limited to:
- coordinating state, federal and local resources with the needs of businesses to ensure business sustainability
- assessing the needs of businesses; offering solutions or making referral recommendations that address those areas
- designing and executing an action plan ensuring each business's needs have been met
- providing employee recruitment services with the scope being determined by the business
- networking with businesses, agencies, educational institutions and other service organizations to increase exposure of Michigan Works! Region 7B and maintain collaborative working relationships
- Lead business development initiatives to expand customer base and increase sales revenue
- Proficiency in using software tools for customer relationship management (CRM) and sales tracking, such as Salesforce or similar platforms
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute sales strategies and deliver exceptional customer service
- Must be able to represent the organization in a professional, cooperative, and respectful manner
- Ability to give presentations, communicate effectively and work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, stakeholders, and team members
- Proven experience in business development, including identifying new opportunities, building relationships, and closing sales deals
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage resources effectively
Will report to the Chief Operating Officer; compensation based upon experience. Successful candidate should have Bachelor’s (preferred), some small business related experiences, business development experience, one year of sales experience, or one year of workforce development experience.
