Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Service Center Manager, performs consistent quality support services to BRES Program customers and MWSE staff. The BRES Customer Service Assistant will enter data into multiple computer databases including the MWSE information tracking system and the MWSE financial system. Performs routine clerical duties including data entry, correspondence, copying, filing, and preparing reports. The BRES Customer Service Assistant performs follow-up activities with customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to support clients and partners
- Collect required documentation in collaboration with the customer
- Enter data in multiple computer databases including One-Stop Management Information System (OSMIS)
- Submit supportive service requests to the Service Center Managers for approval
- Enter requests in financial system (Blackbaud) for payment
- Perform follow-up activities including contacting customers to determine employment status and service needs
- Data tracking for program evaluation
- Ensure compliance with BRES Program requirements
- Maintain customer information on a spreadsheet used for tracking and reporting
- Explain BRES program services/requirements to customers and share information with staff May attend events to support BRES needs
- Handle stress appropriately and interact well with others
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
All Michigan Works! Southeast team members are expected to be technically competent and committed to continuous development of their skills. The following skills, knowledge and education or certifications are specifically required for this position:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associates or specialized business training preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- One year office experience, preferably in workforce, education, or human services setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
- Ability to interact with employees and customers in a professional manner at all times including during stressful situations is required
- Travel between service centers as necessary to meet the needs of the organization
Compensation: $14.50 to $19.33 includes medical, dental and vision insurance.
