A Team Leader at Mico's Hot Chicken is responsible for managing and supervising a team of kitchen staff and ensuring that all food preparation and service is carried out to the highest standards. They are responsible for delegating tasks, monitoring team performance, and providing training and support as needed. The Team Leader is also responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety protocols, and ensuring that all food items are prepared to the correct specifications. Additionally, they must be able to communicate effectively with both kitchen staff and front of the house staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation. Overall, the Team Leader plays a crucial role in ensuring the success of the restaurant by maintaining a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
Activities & Responsibilities:
Primary:
- Ensures that Team Members follow procedures specific to each station and read tickets to accurately prepare all orders.
- Ensures that Prep procedures are followed to the restaurant’s standards
- Ensures that Team Members work at a pace to maintain the restaurant's established speed of service guidelines.
- Ensures that workstations are clean at all times..
- Perform any of the tasks above as needed throughout the shift.
- Addresses guest issues that may arise; consults with management regarding complex issues.
- Maintains a positive working relationship and treats all employees with respect while providing them with direction and feedback.
- Communicates employee performance and policy/procedure violations to management for appropriate handling.
- Strictly adheres to all Company policies and procedures.
