Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Child Care Manager to oversee the planning, implementation, and supervision of our child care program. This is a vital role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for providing high-quality care to children.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing team members, finances, and facilities while developing and implementing programs that meet the needs of our children and their families. This includes ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and IMGR&C policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct and conduct activities of the child care program in accordance with established resort procedures;
- Recommend changes to improve the child care program and review ongoing activities;
- Evaluate and develop qualified staff to support child care operations;
- Maintain positive relationships and effective communication with staff, parents, and other stakeholders;
- Monitor revenue and expenses to ensure efficient administration of child care operations;
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Care Development, or a related field; or an associate's degree with relevant experience;
- At least one year of management experience in a licensed child care facility or a related area;
- Familiarity with the field's concepts, practices, and procedures;
- Effective verbal and written communication skills;
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills;
- Ability to respond effectively to stressful situations in a varied environment;
- Flexibility working with children of all age groups;
- Mescalero Apache Tribal Preference; Bicultural experience preferred;
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background investigation;
