ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assigns programs to machines that may include lathes, grinders, mills, and similar equipment.
- Designs & chooses holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and other materials on machines.
- Assists machinists in problem solving, and identifying areas to increase and improve efficiencies.
- Applies knowledge of mathematics and instruments to calculate dimensions and tolerances.
- Identifies malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
- Flexible team player in a fast paced aerospace job-shop.
- Utilizing your experience in Kaizen principles, 6S, and lean manufacturing techniques to optimize projects.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
- An AA in Machine Technology (Desired).
- 5 years MasterCam Programming (Expert).
- 8 years machining experience in Aerospace job shop, while applying ISO & ASM requirements (Desired).
- Mazatrol, FANUC, & Heidenhain controller experience (Proficient).
- .Extensive understanding & application of GD&T (Proficient).
- User of aerospace job shop ERP system (Skilled).
- Interpreting prints and flow down requirements, with extensive understanding & application of GD&T in aerospace, nuclear fields (Expert).
- Understanding of CNC machine (3, 4, & 5 axis machining centers) (Expert).
