Job Summary:
This position reports to our Module Manufacturing and Test Department and is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and maintaining of tests at all levels of the product within Micro Control Burn-In System. The individual will use computer assisted engineering programming software and equipment to perform assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute engineering production test plans for printed circuit board assemblies.
- Develop test fixtures, circuits, and process documentation required to execute production test plans.
- Write test scripts to be used to run automated tests and data collection.
- Act as a liaison between the Test Department, Engineering and all associated Production teams.
- Partner with the Electronic Engineers and Test Department to determine the root cause of printed circuit board failures and propose solutions.
- Participate with Engineering in design reviews of printed circuit boards, electro-mechanical assemblies, and the creation of test programs to verify performance and specifications.
- Support test-related production issues.
- Perform data analysis and drive process improvement associated with the production test process including yield improvements, test time reduction, and test cost reduction.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure technical, cost, and quality goals are met.
- Responsible for troubleshooting issues with the test equipment, units under test, and fixtures/adapters/interface between test equipment.
- Perform engineering tasks such as producing BOM’s, schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Performs all other related duties as requested or assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering degree, or equivalent experience in related field.
- 2 years of relevant test engineering experience.
- Ability to use electronic test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, electronic loads, meters, function generators, etc.
- Self-management skills including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organization/planning skills, and the ability to work independently.
- PYTHON, .NET, or C/C programming and debugging skills.
- Knowledge of electronics test techniques, documentation, interpreting test results and troubleshooting to component level.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Designing, developing, and debugging software in a .NET environment.
- Fluency in multiple scripting languages.
- Experience working on live high-voltage circuits.
- Project management skills including planning, organizing, and coordinating tasks.
- Experience with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE).
- Experience in developing test platforms and design of test hardware and debug.
- Strong computer networking skills and protocol knowledge. GIT Repository familiarity.
- Soldering capability along with J-STD familiarity.
