Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable IT Support Specialist. This position will report directly to the IT Manager within the Operations Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software. This role requires a strong understanding of various operating systems and networking concepts, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
· Facilitate the smooth on-boarding and off-boarding processes for employees.
· Set up workstations, laptops, and other necessary equipment for new hires.
· Provide technical support for end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network related issues.
· Coordinate, troubleshoot, and resolve incoming support tickets and requests.
· Troubleshoot and resolve IT related issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
· Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across various systems and platforms.
· Ensure compliance with security policies.
· Install, update, and maintain software applications and operating systems.
· Perform routine maintenance on hardware including updates and patches.
· Create and/or maintain documentation for IT policies.
· Work closely with other IT team members to address IT infrastructure needs.
Required Qualifications:
· Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
· Two years of relevant experience.
· Thorough knowledge of Windows operating systems.
· Proficiency in computer management and desktop support.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint.
· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Knowledge of Infor Syteline ( CSI ) ERP software.
· Knowledge of networking concepts, security, VPN’s, and switching hardware.
