What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Setup Technician position at Micro Gauge?
Due to continually growth we are looking for a Set-up Tech for the Brighton, MI Mueller/Micro Gauge location. Schedule is 7 am to 3 pm Monday - Friday. Pay is based on experience.
SUMMARY: Provides engineering support for all aspects of assigned product line to ensure functionality, quality, cost, and schedule requirements by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provides support to manufacturing to ensure product is fabricated and assembled based on the intended functionality of the design.
Performs initial setup of lathes, mills, and broaches.
Utilizes machine tooling and work holding
Handles setup of process flows.
Utilizes initial job specific machine set up instructions for job books.
Maintains existing processes.
Performs minor gauge troubleshooting and repair.
Assists in correcting quality and production problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED): or five to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts of algebra, solid geometry and trigonometry, SPC QC.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
