Mechanical Engineering Intern - Medical Device R&D

As an intern, you will work within our design, development, research, and manufacturing engineering teams on impactful projects. This 3-4 month, project-based program is open to junior, senior, and post-graduate students who are passionate about medical technology and Mechanical Concepts.

You will work directly with the Mechanical Engineering team within the Research and Development organization of MSEI to develop next generation pacemakers and cardiac catheters through the execution of CAD design studies, hands-on prototyping and experimental research. Responsibilities

• Prototype assembly
• Fixture design (using Solidworks CAD)
• 3D Printing Components and Fixtures
• Test method development
• Mechanical Test Execution and documentation
• Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the manager.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Mechanical Engineering BS
• Completed at least 3 years of Mechanical Engineering coursework
• Solidworks experience is required
• Part design knowledge
• Basic understanding of drawing and tolerancing

• Material testing (ex. tensile and fatigue)

Salary Range: $24-$32/hr (dependent on qualifications and experience)
