Position Overview :
We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee our Plating Operations on the 2nd shift. This role requires a proactive leader to monitor production line performance, resolve issues, and ensure smooth and efficient operations. You will work closely with your team to meet production targets, maintain safety standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
Supervise and monitor line performance, taking corrective actions to address process issues.
Ensure production schedules are met, resources are appropriately allocated, and any production interruptions are resolved promptly.
Lead and coordinate daily production activities, providing clear direction to production team members.
Track and report on line throughput, cycle time, and scrap on a daily basis.
Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to maximize equipment utilization.
Foster open communication with team members to align on goals, performance standards, and company policies.
Optimize workforce efficiency through cross-training, development, and delegation.
Lead focused improvement teams to enhance quality, service, safety, and cost.
Assist in developing and maintaining operating procedures.
Monitor and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), conducting gap analysis and implementing action plans.
Serve as a technical resource to resolve minor production or equipment issues.
Ensure adherence to health and safety policies, maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
8-10 years of production experience in a manufacturing setting.
Proven ability to lead teams, enhance team performance, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Strong communication, leadership, and team management skills.
Hands-on experience in manufacturing operations, with specific experience in plating preferred.
Familiarity with world-class manufacturing practices, including SPC, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
