Quality Tech III $25-$32

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Quality Tech III is responsible for overseeing quality inspection processes on their assigned shift, ensuring product compliance with quality standards and specifications. As the shift lead, they will support quality improvement initiatives, mentor junior inspectors, and work closely with production to resolve quality issues.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Quality Inspection & Testing

• Perform advanced inspections on materials, components, and products to verify compliance with quality standards.
• Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections; review complex products for functional and dimensional accuracy.
• Record and analyze inspection results in detailed reports; provide comprehensive feedback to production and QA teams.
• Identify, document, and escalate defects; work closely with production to investigate root causes and drive corrective actions.

Supplier & Material Verification

• Review and verify incoming materials against supplier documentation and conduct in-depth inspections for critical parts.
• Ensure all materials comply with required specifications, standards, and quality benchmarks.

Equipment & Process Management

• Oversee the calibration and maintenance of inspection tools; ensure tools are accurate and available for all shifts.
• Develop and update quality inspection procedures, providing guidance on best practices.
• Monitor quality trends across shifts and recommend or lead quality improvement initiatives to senior management.

Compliance & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure team compliance with ISO standards and internal quality policies.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts by participating in quality audits, developing corrective actions, and training junior inspectors.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

• 5 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of inspection equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers) and quality standards (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma).
• Excellent leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to guide and develop junior staff.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex quality issues.
• Attention to detail, with strong documentation and reporting skills.
