Well-established Mankato, MN company of 40 years serving primarily the agricultural industry is rapidly growing and seeking an Operations Manager to join the team. You will be working in Mankato, MN. The position is part of the company's leadership team for strategic planning and reports directly to the President.
Exceptional compensation and benefits package including eligibility for an annual executive incentive ("EIP") bonus compensation reserved for key employees. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Operations management experience of five-plus years is required. Agricultural industry experience is preferred, but not required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manages company’s overall production operations ensuring effective and successful labor productivity and efficiency, quality control and safety.
• Manages machine resources ensuring maximum productivity and minimal downtime by analyzing process workflow, employee and space requirements and equipment layout and implementing changes as required to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines and processes.
• Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
• Sets ambitious production goals, communicates them to operations personnel and provides motivation, training, coaching, counseling, support and guidance for implementation.
• Establish workflow process standards that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising workplace safety or product quality and integrity.
• Communicates problems, obstacles and customer issues with operations and leadership teams and devises ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints.
• Manages all employees of the department and is responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling and work assignments, performance management and discipline of employees in the department.
• Manage process engineers, scheduling staff as well as production employees.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree required and/or equivalent experience (B.S. preferred in manufacturing engineer-related field).
• Five plus years of related experience in manufacturing operations.
• Two plus years of related experience in a supervisory capacity.
• Proven track record of successfully hiring and training employees in manufacturing processes, productivity, quality, and safety.
• ISO 9001:2015 experience.
