Job Description:
As the Information Technology Manager, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our network operations and IT infrastructure to support our external satellite communication services as well as internal network and desktop support. You will oversee a team of IT and network professionals, ensure the stability and security of our systems, and lead initiatives to enhance network performance, reliability, reporting, and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of the satellite network infrastructure, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving network issues to ensure continuous service delivery.
- IT Infrastructure Management: Manage IT systems, including servers, databases, and applications, ensuring their reliability, security, and optimal performance.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of network and IT professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
- Performance Monitoring: Implement and manage network monitoring tools to track performance, detect issues, and generate reports for analysis and optimization.
- Incident Management: Respond to and manage network and IT incidents, coordinating with relevant teams to resolve issues and minimize downtime.
- Security Management: Ensure robust security measures are in place to protect network and IT assets from cyber threats and comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Project Management: Plan and execute network and IT projects, including upgrades, installations, and system integrations, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network and IT infrastructure, configurations, and procedures for operational continuity and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Network Manager, IT Manager, or similar role, with a strong background in network operations and IT infrastructure management.
- In-depth knowledge of communication systems, networking protocols, and IT security practices.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools, as well as IT management software.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
- Project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
