Sales Associate Job Description
Microcom is the leading satellite communications company in the states of Alaska and Hawaii. This is a key position that works closely with Sales Manager and the sales team to achieve and exceed all sales goals.
The Sales Lead is responsible for the providing excellent customer service and selling Microcom products to customers. Performs sales calls, including lead follow-up. Negotiates and closes sales. Follows-up with the customer after the sale. Provides continuing after sales contact with existing customers. Acts as a liaison between the customer and the company. Performs related administrative and record keeping tasks. Maintains professional selling skills through training programs. Maintains a high level of technical competence with respect to Microcom's products which will allow for professional selling of the product. Set up temporary sales displays as necessary to promote service and reach out to potential clients.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor the performance of the sales team and provide feedback to management
- Sell products and services to new and existing customers
- Meet current sales metrics and goals
- Adhere to all sales processes and procedures as established
- Execute promotions and meeting or exceeding established sales goals
- Handle customer service issues
- Maintain showroom standards
- Adhere to all Company policies and procedures
- Cold calling and supporting sales cross-promotions
- Must be able to work independently in a retail storefront
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Two (2) years of relevant field experience may be substituted for every one (1) year of required academia
- Strong sales skills and the ability to ensure customer satisfaction on a daily basis while maintaining operations within a retail store environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated, prioritizes tasks and works independently with minimal supervision
- Professional appearance and the ability to work early evenings and weekends
- Punctual and on time to all work related activities
- Coachable and willing to apply techniques and knowledge
- Provide an exceptional, best in class, customer experience
- Willing to prospect customers via warm calls
- Capable of adapting quickly to industry and company changes
- Maintain minimum sales goals and expectations
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
