Job description

MFR is looking for an Analyst with a strong interest in analyzing the financial performance of credit institutions and managing databases. This role will focus on activities related to the ATLAS Data Platform and will involve collaboration with an international team of financial inclusion specialists. The Analyst will work under the guidance of the Platform Coordinator, the Innovation Director, and the Technical Director.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Perform quality control of data reports from various sources, including financial statements, public databases, rating assessments, and other transparency initiatives.
• Design systems for automatic detection of data quality issues to enhance accuracy and reliability.
• Develop workflows and tools to facilitate the processing and regular uploading of data from structured sources.
• Monitor the performance of the web-based ATLAS platform and its different modules.
• Manage data projects, including the planning and implementation of reporting flows for regular data sources, such as investors and international networks.

Qualifications

• University degree with coursework in accounting and banking.
• At least 2 years of experience in a financial analyst, investor relations, or reporting/monitoring role within a financial institution. Responsibilities should have included the review and analysis of financial statements and preparation of reports for stakeholders.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including experience working with Excel-based databases.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
• Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills.
• Strong time-management and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
• Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of French or Spanish is a plus.
