Position Title: Expediter

Department: Production                                                       Manager: Production Manager

Tier Level: 15                                                                              FLSA: Non-exempt

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for accurately and consistently mixing all thermoset and thermoplastic mixtures. 
• Look at the Run Schedule to determine what runs need mixtures.
• Issue materials from inventory.
• Create work orders in GSS for mixtures.
• Create labels within GSS for all containers.
• Open and close work orders.
• Mix all thermoset/thermoplastic mixes.
• Filter all thermoplastic mixtures, including red and blue dyes.
• Conduct Viscosity Tests on PI.
• Clean Acid Bottles
• Maintaining Light Stir/Tumble Schedule on a 4-week basis.
• Ensure chemicals in the cooler are within temperature limits.
• Time management and planning
• May obtain respiratory mask certification (medical clearance) yearly. MicroLumen will pay for the certification.

Qualifications

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent which includes having the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Must have the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Previous Work Experience:

• This position requires on-the-job training.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to wear required PPE consistently.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must be able to frequently move about inside the manufacturing environment and access equipment.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

• Must have the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must be detail oriented; carelessness may result in incorrect product to the customer.
• Must be able to work well with others and communicate efficiently and effectively.
