Position Title: Reinforcement Technician
Department: Reinforcement Manager: Reinforcement Manager
Tier Level: 15 FLSA: Non-exempt

Essential Functions:
- Reinforce tubing and monitor lots in process to ensure they meet customer specifications.
- Inspect fine wire, tubing, and mandrels to ensure they meet product requirements prior to use.
- Ability to accurately follow detailed written and verbal instructions and complete paperwork correctly.
- Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot braiders and other equipment as appropriate.
- Participants in team meetings; invites collaboration with teammates.
- Follows MicroLumen’s procedures and policies.
- Collect data for customers if required.
- Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent which includes having the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
Previous Work Experience:
- Quality control experience is preferred.
- Manufacturing and/or mechanical experience is preferred.
- Previous experience in machine troubleshooting is preferred.
- This position requires on-the-job training.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs. to chest height.
- Ability to stand continuously for 8 to 10 hour shifts.
- Must be able to constantly display near visual acuity to inspect and detect small defects and measurements in tubing.
- Must be able to frequently move about inside the manufacturing environment and access machinery.
- Must be able to display fine manipulation skills and display hand dexterity to handle and use various hand tools.
Skills and Abilities:
- Must be able to work well with others and communicate effectively.
- Must be flexible in working hours; night and weekend hours may be necessary.
- Must be able to use judgement to know when braiders or other equipment are malfunctioning.
- Must be able to consistently meet KPI requirements.
- Must be self-driven with an ability to start and complete projects independently or within a group.
- Manages PTO professionally, arrives consistently on time and provides appropriate notice when absent.
- Must consistently demonstrate The Roberds’s Way values.
Demonstrated Competencies:
- Operator must be able to pass the Reinforcement Competency Test with a passing score of 78% or above by effectively starting a run.
- Understanding of ERP/GSS, including but not limited to the ability to issue materials, retrieve, update and close work orders accurately.
