What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Intelligence Business Partner position at Micromeritics Instrument Corporation?
ROLE PURPOSE:
As a Business Intelligence Business Partner, you will be supporting the Business Intelligence team in the analysis, development, maintenance and delivery of existing and new reporting and analytical deliveries. The position will be responsible for building report structures in Business Central, SAC, Power BI, Excel and will have programming knowledge and experience. In addition to reporting, the position will assist in supporting business systems such as Microsoft Business Central and Salesforce.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitoring of our suite of analytical reports supporting the key business activities.
- Supporting of incoming requests for development or incidents and be key part of our planning process.
- Work with the Business Intelligence team to gather data from multiple sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and other sources.
- Analyse data using tools such as SQL, SAC, Power BI, Excel, and other BI software to identify trends, patterns, and insights, using written programs either editing existing scripts or creating new scripts when necessary.
- Prepare reports and dashboards that clearly communicate findings and recommendations to business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments to understand their data needs and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Assist with data quality checks and data cleaning processes to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to team projects as needed.
- Continuously learn and improve skills in data analysis, visualization, and BI tools.
- Aid in the transition of business data to the centrally held parent business warehouse with the aim to produce timely and fully comprehensive reporting at a consolidated level.

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED OF THE JOB HOLDER:
Entry Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 years' experience in related field.
Skills & Experience
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL.
- Familiarity with BI software such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
- Programming skills in one or more environments such C#, Jave, R and Python.
- Confident, proactive and results driven.
- Working within a complex multinational manufacturing company.
- Virtual teamwork with people and teams in a global setting.
- Ability to quickly assimilate in a new team and understand the developing methods, capabilities, and tools.
- Methodical and thorough approach to tasks.
Knowledge (Desirable)
- Production/Manufacturing industry experience
