We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Microfabrication Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Microfabrication Process Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and fabricating miniaturized electronics and advanced semiconductor packaging using our proprietary microfabrication process. The successful candidate will have a strong background in laser micromachining and in cleanroom processes such as photolithography, electroplating, wet/dry etching, and deposition techniques like PVD, sputtering, and ALD. Proficiency in characterization tools such as Scanning Electron Microscopes (SEM), optical microscopes, optical profilometer, and electrical characterization equipment is essential.
Responsibilities
- Design and fabricate semiconductor packaging substrates using microfabrication techniques including laser-micromachining, photolithography, wet/dry etching, electroplating, and deposition techniques (such PVD, sputtering, ALD, etc.).
- Characterize fabricated devices using SEM and electrical characterization tools.
- Perform multi-chip assembly using wire bonding and flip-chip bonding.
- Develop new microfabrication processes and optimize existing processes.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and cleanroom practices.
- Other projects and responsibilities may be added as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience is preferred.
- Strong expertise in cleanroom processes, including photolithography, wet/dry etching, electroplating, and deposition techniques such as PVD, sputtering, and ALD.
- Proficiency with characterization tools such as SEM, optical microscopes, optical profilometers, and electrical characterization equipment.
- Experience in semiconductor packaging is a plus.
- Familiarity with PCB manufacturing processes, including via-plating and lamination, is a plus.
- Proficiency in using PCB CAD software like Altium or Fusion 360 Electronics is a plus.
- Prior experience in prototyping PCB is a plus.
- Must be self-motivated, hands-on, capable of wearing multiple hats, and able to work both independently and with a team.

Salary : $100,000 - $135,000
