As a Micron Data Scientist in Smart Manufacturing & AI, you will be responsible for developing methodology, predictive models and software packages / systems to help Micron enhance tool efficiency and improve yield and quality.
You will adopt strong communication skills to communicate across different functional teams (including worldwide fabs and central teams) to understand the requirements and domain knowledge, collaborate with teams to develop and validate methodology / systems, and deliver final E2E solutions to the end users .

Therefore, we are looking for candidates with a strong desire to grow their careers as Data Scientists in a highly automated manufacturing industry, through learning, cultivating their own networks, performing analysis and machine learning on terabytes and petabytes of diverse datasets, and delivering valuable solutions to improve Micron’s operation.
Responsibilities :
- Experience in the areas : statistical modeling, feature extraction and analysis, supervised / unsupervised / semi-supervised learning.
- Ability to extract data from different databases via SQL and other query languages, applying data cleansing, outlier identification, and missing data techniques.
- Knowledge of software development skills and processes (design patterns, unit test, CI / CD), proficient in Python programming.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong desire to learn machine learning and other advanced analytical methods.
- Experience with Python statistical / machine learning packages such as statsmodels, scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- Experience with Python distributed computing frameworks (e.g., PySpark / Dask) is a plus.
- Experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus but not required.
- Experience in constructing predictive models or virtual metrology in the semiconductor industry is a plus.
- Experience working with time-series data, images, semi-supervised learning, and data with frequently changing distributions is a plus.
- Published papers at semiconductor conferences such as SPIE or machine learning conferences such as CVPR, NIPS, ICML, KDD, and other key conferences is a plus, but this is not a research position.
- Experience in web development, especially in JavaScript or Angular 8 , is a plus.
