Front End Materials Supplier Manager

Do you have a passion in building a career in procurement? We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join our global team dedicated to this function. As a Buyer, you will be the primary category point of contact for supplier interactions, performance management, and negotiations for the site.

In this role, you will work with partners to build comprehensive view of supplier performance for continued sourcing success. You will participate and/or lead in the development and implementation of category strategies and projects related but not limited to cost reduction initiatives, supply base optimization, and pricing/contract negotiation.

Responsibilities

• Manage Supplier Relationship Regionally (in North America)
• Lead or participate in negotiations for contract extensions and renewals, renegotiation of prices, transfers, etc.
• Act as primary point of contact for assigned suppliers in category
• Perform commercial supplier qualification activities to ensure the commercial development of strategic suppliers
• Ensure suppliers align with Micron's code-of-conduct programs and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
• Support site audits
  
  

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher with 0-2 years of experience or 5 years of equivalent experience
• Experience in supplier management and strategic sourcing
• Lead Site Supplier Performance and Relationships
• Own procurement process for designated areas and accounts
• Negotiate with suppliers to meet business needs and support the execution of Global Procurement strategies

• Ability to work well in a high-pace dynamic environment with minimal supervision
• Strong problem solving and project management skills
• Strong analytical skills, high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• SAP experience preferred
