Responsibilities
- Ensures the team finishes the required safety training and conducts all work in accordance with Micron and Technology Development (TD) safety policies
- Stops work for safety if unsafe conditions and/or behaviors are identified
- Applies and reviews job hazard analysis (JHA/JSA) for work being done
- Ensures the team follows all safety and environmental procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws including PPE, CoHE (lockout /tagout) and chemical safety
- Follows-up on safety and quality related issues immediately and works towards resolution with collaborators
- Actively participates in the EHS program by reporting all EHS-related concerns or problems immediately (maximum 24 hours)
- Performs and facilitates audits and submits good catches
- Proactively finds opportunities to reduce potential hazards which may impact personnel health and/or the environment
- Follows proper organizational change practices to ensure safety & quality expectations are met
- Drives quality improvement initiatives in their area of expertise to reduce Fab impacts, improve efficiency & drive cost savings
- Collaborates with the project management team in the coordination of resources, information and quality control
- Collaborates with collaborators to plan, schedule and implement installation of gas/TGM systems
- Owns and is accountable for the performance and behavior of the area
- Ensures team members finish their work to meet critical deadlines
- Defines and communicates organizational roles and job descriptions to meet the overall expectations of the team
- Is responsible for workforce readiness and proficiency by developing effective training plans and mentors
- Meets with new hires to ensure expectations are understood and training is progressing successfully
- Meets regularly with team members to review performance, provide feedback and create development plans applying SuccessFactors
- Provides guidance to identify, develop and promote technical expertise (process, device, equipment, etc.) and innovation
- Recognizes and rewards team members both privately and publicly for their successes
- Maintains relevant technical knowledge within the field to make informed decisions and drive area improvements
- Ensures team maintains required certifications and training to perform area tasks
- Analyzes systems data to make critical decisions, improve performance, gain efficiency, and drive cost savings
- Supports risk and/or failure mode and effects analysis
- Provides engineering support to ensure facility compliance with federal, state, and local laws
- Collaborates with key collaborators to identify gaps and opportunities for equipment/process efficiencies
- Supports benchmark activities on operational, procedural, engineering, facilities systems
- Drives a culture of TPM including TPM metrics, CIP items, MTAGs, and procedures
- Conducts research and development on emerging facilities technologies to support brand-new semiconductor processes
- Manages projects to ensure they are completed within the required scope, schedule and budget
- Defines and leads sophisticated, multi-disciplinary projects of critical importance to Micron
- Prepares project scope and ensures vital guidance from appropriate collaborators
- Reviews design packages
- Works closely with Procurement, Manufacturing, and relevant collaborators on new tool/system purchases
- Associates Degree or appropriate certification/licensing in Engineering, Semiconductor, Chemistry, or similar STEM field of study.
- 5 Years of Experience as an O&M Gas Systems Coordinator within an Industrial Environment.
- 5 years of experience with Microsoft Office Products, FBI Reporter, Ariba, and Work Order programs.
- 3 years of experience fixing mechanical systems down to the component level using schematic diagrams.
- Soft Skills: Interpersonal communicator, collaborator, negotiator, analytical, multitasking, critical thinker, motivator, leader.
- 5 years of experience working as a Gas Systems Coordinator within the semiconductor industry.
- 3 years of experience leading others.
