Job Summary and Description

Technicians supply to cycle time reduction by facilitating product movement, running plates by priority to meet ship dates and by performing support tasks as needed. The area technicians are the first responder to area inefficiencies such as lots not tracking or staging, data not downloading, tool errors or alarms and lot process verification. Technicians use FabQ, WriteQ and other software programs to handle area WIP and to identify improvements for the area. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Safety and Quality:

• Builds and maintains a safe work environment; identifies and reports hazards
• Performs on-shift wipe downs
• Consistently supports established safety and quality processes

Workstation Efficiency:

• Demonstrates expertise in implementing area routine operations to ensure throughput needs are accomplished
• Partners with area engineering on workstation and operational enhancements or inefficiencies
• Covers additional workstations and tasks during staffing shortages or at supervisor direction
• Monitors status of key bottlenecks and priority workstations throughout shift to ensure they are running efficiently per ship gap in FabQ
• Ensures all relevant lot information is commented and passed down to the next shift
• Implements to shift game plan as developed by Supervisor
• Verifies machines are logged accurately in ETO
• Shares effective communication skills with others

WIP Management:

• Facilitates the movement of product through assigned area(s) to improve cycle time
• Resolves or advances lot issues in Special Work Requests (SWR), GeRM, MTAS lots
• Reviews Prod/Dev hold lots and prioritizes what can be resolved and calls out as vital
• Follows up on stage fails, is responsible for out fails, or recipe not on tool errors
• Adds MTAS comments to lots per requirements
• Provides oversight of area pmons, condition plates, daily qual plates, blanks, etc. Maintains adequate stock level and monitors for post inspect results
• Verifies lot information in product tracking systems
• Performs SPACE checks and enter accurate comments for blanks and pmons

Qualifications:

• Confirmed ability to optimally communicate both in writing and verbally
• Shown ability to accurately read and interpret verbal and written instructions to improve area efficiency
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, including: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Excel
• Proven time management and prioritization skills
• Validated ability in multi-tasking and driving basic projects
• Validated ability to troubleshoot basic problems and identify and resolve root causes
• Proven track record to recognize performance gaps and identify steps to improve
• Shown ability to follow basic procedures and work with minimal direction

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience preferred
