The Manufacturing Design Engineer leads the development of new products and process improvements, overseeing their seamless transfer to production. In collaboration with cross-functional teams including Product Development, Production, and Quality, the candidate will drive the creation and modification of assembly and component drawings (2D and 3D), technical documentation, and manufacturing work instructions. The role requires taking ownership of product development projects, managing project timelines, and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all related documentation. With a strong focus on document control, the Manufacturing Design Engineer ensures that all project documents are organized, up-to-date, and easily accessible for key stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities Essential Job Functions:
· Lead new product design and process improvement efforts in collaboration with the Product Development Manager and the New Products Team.
· Develop and manage schedules for new product launches and process improvements, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
· Design and revise part assembly drawings (2D and 3D) to meet project and production requirements.
· Drive product and assembly improvements by identifying inefficiencies and implementing effective solutions.
· Develop and execute test protocols for new and improved products and processes, including overseeing material and product testing.
· Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors to support current and new product initiatives.
· Collect and interpret technical data for use in marketing content, technical literature, and distributor submissions.
· Ensure compliance with company SOPs and adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.

Minimal Qualifications include:
- Two years college, or equivalent in engineering or sciences in a product manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of production and manufacturing processes and techniques.
- Understanding of part and assembly drawings.
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar programs for drawings. (3D and 2D)
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of quality systems and standards
- Strong analysis and planning skills.
- Attention to detail and follow-up.
- Team player who can build trusting relationships with colleagues.
- Good problem solving and troubling shooting skills.
Preferred Qualifications include:
- Work experience in manufacturing, engineering in a product-based business.
- Demonstrated experience in product and process improvement techniques.
- Knowledge of Micronova products and/or their end user markets.
- Understanding of ERP software
- Understanding of critical nature of end user market
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in product development and manufacturing environment.
