POSITION PURPOSE:
Under the direction of the QA Manager, the Assistant is responsible for scanning, sorting and simple inspection to ensure quality. The Assistant will assist in ensuring all proper procedures are being followed and documented to maintain ISO and customer standards resulting in total compliance with company quality policy.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform scanning or in-process sheets and closing DMR’s
- Monitoring and simple inspecting of product and processes that ensure production of parts to company quality policy standards
- Maintain accurate documentation of inspection results
- Pull gauges for calibration
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Requirements

- High School Diploma and/or G.E.D
- Minimum 1 year experience in manufacturing quality and inspection processes

- Ability to work with limited supervision, in a team environment and in a solo capacity
- Demonstrate ability to read, write, hear and interpret documents and instructions from both verbal and written English
- Exhibit strong attention to detail, problem solving, time management and interpersonal skills
- Possess data entry and computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite and ERP applications
- Possess knowledge of gage maintenance and calibration
- Regularly required to use hands to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and to reach with hands, arms and feet
- Frequently required to talk and hear, to stand, walk or sit; to balance, stoop, crouch and kneel
- Occasionally required to push, pull and/or safely lift various pieces of equipment or parts weighing up to 35 pounds
- Vision abilities (corrective or non) include close range, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
- Ability to understand and comply with all company, safety and quality policies and procedures and advocate ISO system standards
