Provide technical expertise and consumer insights to drive digital transformation. Engage in sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation, maintenance, or other integrated solutions of Microsoft products. Promote adoption of technology by helping users optimize specialized solutions, which may include the demonstration of features beyond core functionality, dissemination of technical information on complex applications, and guidance regarding best practice adoption. Serve as a subject matter expert in a pre- or post-sales production environment and resolve any complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns. Coordinate with stakeholders to assess utilization of Microsoft technologies and prepare detailed product specifications for the development and integration of solutions. Troubleshoot frontline technical readiness and process compliance to accelerate scalability. Advise stakeholders on the installation and support related to systems, networks, or data communications technologies and conduct related product capability assessments and validation. May build a mini-application based on customer requirements, which involves rapid prototyping or product demonstration. May collaborate with cross functional teams to research market conditions to gather information and determine potential sales of a product or service, or create a marketing campaign. May analyze information on competitors, prices, sales, and methods of marketing and distribution. Telecommuting permitted 100% from any location within mainland U.S.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science; Computer Engineering; Software Engineering; Information Systems; or related.
- Experience: Four (4) years of experience in VM configuration, setup, and troubleshooting.
- Alternative Requirements: In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science; Computer Engineering; Software Engineering; Information Systems; or a related field, employer will accept two additional years of experience in VM configuration, setup, and troubleshooting.
- Specific Skills Requirements: Requires at least 48 months of experience in each of the following: Public/Private Cloud; VMWare; and Virtualization Platform; and 36 months of experience in each of the following: Networking; Hyper-V; Storage; and Backups.

Pay Range and Benefits Information
The offered base pay range for this specific position (job code: TSCBS18719), based in Redmond, WA (but telecommuting permitted 100% from any location in the U.S.), is $144,640 to $174,640.
Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. Benefits/perks listed may vary depending on the nature of employment with Microsoft and the country work location. U.S.-based employees have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, and wellbeing benefits, among others.
