Job Duties
Create designs, prototypes and/or concepts for business productivity, gaming, entertainment, or other software or hardware applications. Work solo solving ambiguous problems. Strategize for optimal user satisfaction and business impact. Drive design from definition to ideation to delivery. Produce design briefs and support the production of information architecture diagrams, wireframes, interaction flows, low-fi prototypes, or other artifacts required to develop and evolve user experience designs. Implement Microsoft visual design languages for production of designs. Examining design language, propose and expand on existing system leading accessibility and craftsmanship improvements. Leverage innovative techniques to ensure products and services are desirable, relevant, usable, personal, and feasible. Conceptualize and facilitate ideation sessions, storyboarding, and brainstorming to develop user scenarios and sketch early stage mockups. Collaborate with cross functional teams to translate user feedback and telemetry into design solutions. Help other disciplines engage with customer feedback and derive insights through leveraging prototypes. Design or create graphics to improve the user experience and meet specific commercial or promotional needs. Leverage theoretical knowledge to achieve artistic or decorative effects. Telecommuting permitted 50% or more per week within same area as assigned MSFT office location.

- Education: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Graphic Design or related
- Experience: 36 months of experience in any product design related occupation
- Experience must include: 24 months in each of the following: Figma; System Thinking; and Layout. Requires 12 months in each of the following: Typography; Design for Accessibility; Operating SystemDesign; and Branding.

Pay Range and Benefits Information
The offered base pay range for this specific position ML75351, based in Mountain View, CA, is $157,855 - $187,855.
Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
