Job Description: Provide technical expertise and consumer insights to drive digital transformation. Provide architecture leadership and oversight in diverse architecture domains to manage large and complex customer engagements. Engage in sales presentations, product demonstrations, installation, maintenance, or other integrated solutions of Microsoft products. Promote adoption of technology by helping users optimize specialized solutions, which may include the demonstration of features beyond core functionality, dissemination of technical information on complex applications, and guidance regarding best practice adoption. Serve as a subject matter expert in a pre- or post-sales production environment and resolve any complex applications problems, systems & architecture issues, or network concerns. Coordinate with stakeholders to assess utilization of Microsoft technologies and prepare detailed architecture and product specifications for the development and integration of complex solutions. Troubleshoot frontline technical readiness and process compliance to accelerate scalability. Advise stakeholders on the installation and support related to systems, networks, or data communications technologies and conduct related product capability assessments and validation. May build a miniapplication based on customer requirements, which involves rapid prototyping or product demonstration. Telecommuting permitted less than 50% per week within same geographic locationas assigned MSFT office location.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Information Systems, Physics, or related and 84 months of experience in any computer related occupation.

OR

108 months of experience in any computer related occupation.

Experience must include 60 months in each of the following: Enterprise Architecture; Azure; Datacenter Strategy; and Kubernetes. Experience must include 24 months in each of the following: Leading enterprise technology architecture practice - Cloud, Infrastructure, End User Computing, Identity and Access Management; Leading IT infrastructure teams to use modem technologies including cloud and automation; and Evaluating current IT infrastructure, identifying gaps in legacy platforms and technologies.

Pay Range and Benefits Information

The offered base pay range for this specific position (ML105604D) in Charlotte, NC, is $212,300 - $242,300.

Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.  

At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. Benefits/perks listed may vary depending on the nature of employment with Microsoft and the country work location. U.S.-based employees have access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, and wellbeing benefits, among others.
