Job Duties
Job Description: Create, align, and execute sourcing and category strategies to continuously re-evaluate and optimize Microsoft’s enterprise-wide logistical functions or supply chain. Evaluate metrics and processes, such as best value, supplier cost competitiveness, and product lifecycle including continuity of fulfilment and supply, and supply-base development and oversight. Collaborate with cross functional teams to aggregate the diverse demands of Microsoft’s businesses and identify, develop, manage, and optimize suppliers, systems, processes, and organizational capabilities and capacity. Plan, direct, or coordinate the activities of buyers, purchasing officers, or related workers involved in procuring materials, products, or services. Leverage reports, dashboards, tabular models and analytical insights to drive business success. Collaborate with cross functional teams to support business verticals. Telecommuting permitted less than 50% per week within same geographic location as assigned Microsoft office location.
Minimum Requirements
Education: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Logistics; Logistical Science Supply Chain Management; Industrial Engineering; or related degrees.
Experience: Two (2) years of experience in demand & supply planning; supplier capacity planning; cost analysis; NPI supply chain set up and supply data management.
SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: Requires at least twelve (12) months of experience in managing supplier relations, implement supplier performance product scorecard; and at least twenty-four (24) months of experience in: Strategic sourcing with knowledge of tools such as D365, DSM, MRA, MRP for consumer products and operation resource hardware; Mixed design formula New product introduction (NPI) & supply chain set up with knowledge of process optimization, simulation tools; Integrated supply planning with SAP IBP, BOM hardware medium term supportability planning and supply chain agility modeling; Product and Computational Cloud multi-source strategy for supply chain resiliency, continuity of supply analysis, and competitive pricing using multi-model contract manufacturer; Cost saving methodologies development, implementation with large scale data analysis modelling, ETL, ELT operations using Python, Open Source ETL tools, and total goods BOM landed cost analysis; and Product hardware System Integrator capacity modelling, supplier node optimization and creating insights using resource planning tools, PowerBI.

Pay Range and Benefits Information: The offered base pay range for this specific position (job code: TSSKS17998), in Redmond, WA is $161,762.00 to $191,762.00.
Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
