Develop a scalable and effective technical strategy to support the rhythm of the business and organizational goals. Translate business needs into technical specifications, clearly articulating project goals and scope. Own the product roadmap, working closely with customers and engineering teams to contribute to, prioritize, and deliver multiple feature areas. Plan, initiate, and drive parallel IT projects, focusing on business impact and customer value. Design and propose architectural solutions for complex technical requirements, collaborating with partner engineering teams across Microsoft to ensure scalability, alignment on program goals, release management, and key success metrics. Manage project implementation by tracking progress, change control and risk management, trade-offs and scope adjustments. Analyze data to identify, prototype, and implement technical and process improvements that enhance the reliability, efficiency, and quality of balance management services while minimizing risk. Define a visionary "north star" for the balance management area, securing leadership approvals and prioritizing initiatives within cross-functional planning queues for subsequent implementation. Ensure that all existing and new services comply with organizational security standards and meet established ETAs. Lead milestone reviews and provide project health updates to executive leadership. Telecommuting permitted 50% or more per week within the same geographic area as assigned Microsoft office location.
Minimum Requirements
- EDUCATION: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Technology Management, or a related field.
- EXPERIENCE: Seven years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience coordinating and facilitating program management of computer software applications/systems/services from envisioning and design through product release.
- SPECIFIC SKILLS: This position also requires education or experience with executing projects using Agile Methodologies for program increment planning, backlog grooming, and MVP using SCRUM processes and VSTS; release management through creating release plans using Microsoft Project; executing and delivering complex multi-phase project releases with zero downtime deployments; managing large scale cloud services and scalable delivery infrastructure using Azure Cloud Computing IaaS and PaaS offerings with emphasis on infrastructure and cost optimizations; administering large scale databases, data analysis, and reporting using SQL Server and DocumentDB; data integration and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) solutions using DTS and SSIS with BizTalk and SAP systems; stakeholder management involving periodic service reviews, incident and escalation management, and negotiations; facilitating technical discussions involving web APis, middleware, and design patterns.

Pay Range and Benefits Information
The offered base pay range for this specific position (job code TSKBB18556), in Charlotte, North Carolina, is $160,180 to $190,180.
Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
