Overview
In this role as a Cloud Solution Architect, you will leverage your experience with cloud technologies and Data & AI to define and implement customer solutions. You will own the Data Platform & Advanced Analytics technical customer engagements, including architectural design sessions, specific implementation projects, and Minimal Viable Products (MVPs). You will apply your advanced analysis skills and architectural principles to create appropriate solutions for our customers. Your role will involve leading deep technical architecture discussions with senior customer executives, Enterprise Architects, IT Management, and Developers to drive Data Platform and Advanced Analytics solutions to production. You will also understand competitive technology and assess the feasibility of migrating customer solutions from, and/or integrating with, non-Microsoft platforms. Your experience in customer-facing roles and success in leading technical discussions will be key to your success in this position.

Responsibilities
- Understand customers’ overall data estate, IT and business priorities and success measures to design implementation architectures and solutions.
- Apply technical knowledge to architect solutions that meet business and IT needs, create Data Platform, AA/AI roadmaps, and ensure long term technical viability of new deployments, infusing key analytics technologies where appropriate (e.g. Azure ML, Database Platforms, Big Data, Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, etc.)
- Ensure that solution exhibits high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, appropriate reusability and reliability upon deployment
- Develop deep relationships with key customer IT decision makers, who drive long-term cloud adoption within their company to enable them to be cloud advocates
- Be a Voice of Customer to share insights and best practices, connect with Engineering team to remove key blockers
- Assess the Customers' knowledge of Azure platform and overall cloud readiness to support customers through a structured learning plan and ensure its delivery through partners.
- Collaborate with other Cloud Solution Architects in developing complex end-to-end Enterprise solutions on Microsoft Azure platform.
- Maintain technical skills and knowledge, keeping up to date with market trends and competitive insights; collaborate and share with the technical community while educating customers on Azure platform
- Be an Azure Platform evangelist with customers, partners and external communities
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 4 years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
- OR equivalent experience.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 8 years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 6 years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
- OR equivalent experience.
- 4 years experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external).
- 4 years experience working on technical projects.
- Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications).
- 4 years of work experience in the data analytics field with emphasis in cloud data platforms, Big Data, modern data warehouse, business intelligence, data ingestion & transformation (ETL/ELT), IOT, analytics model and data visualization
- 4 years of experience applying analytics tools/technologies in cloud computing environments working with the U.S. Federal customer or equivalent.
- 4 years technical sales experience
- Agile or Scrum certification
- Experience delivering results through collaboration across disciplines, feature teams, and partners
- Experience in estimating, scoping effort, and writing effective statements of work that clearly set expectations and limit risk
- Experience presenting complex development topics to both business executive and technical personnel
