The Modern Work Revenue Planning Finance team provides insightful and rigorous analyses to support pricing, packaging, licensing, M&A (merger & acquisitions) and business development activities, and transformational business changes for Microsoft 365 products across segments. We provide thought leadership by creating, evolving and socializing frameworks, such as Long-Range Plan and price increase playbooks etc. to help inform decisions by finance and business leadership.

Role
We are looking for a dynamic finance professional to lead the new commerce transition for the Modern Work product portfolio. In this role, you will build:
- Deep knowledge in Microsoft commercial licensing to effectively translate proposed licensing changes to financial impact assessment, discuss implications with Business Planning, Engineering, and other product Finance teams, and iterate collaboratively to drive decisions that achieve both business and financial goals.
- Network through collaborating with central finance, sales finance, corporate accounting and operations teams, leveraging their advanced specialty from each function and ensuring all feedback and requirements are incorporated before executing changes to business policies.
- Leadership skills in working with a cross-functional community to create clarity while navigating uncertainties, articulate change proposals clearly to finance and business executives, and influence and drive decisions.

Responsibilities
- New Commerce Prioritization and Lead: Serve as primary business partner for GTM (Go To Market) Strategy Business Planning, helping to prioritize key commerce initiatives to gain alignment with Marketing and Finance Leadership.
- New Commerce Financial Analyses: Partner with GTM Strategy Business Planning to assess the financial impact of licensing and term changes as we transition customers from legacy customer agreements to the Modern Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA).
- Addressable Customer Opportunity: Utilize commercial data sources to build customer cohort and deal analyses to define the addressable migration opportunity based on feature and offer availability timelines.
- New Commerce Financial Frameworks: Develop holistic framework to assess risks and opportunities for new commerce transition. Define KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to assess renewal health as customers transition from legacy commerce to MCA and highlight key trends to cross-functional leadership.
- Drive the right tone from executive leadership and ensures strict adherence and understanding of Microsoft policies on risk and compliance. Influences leadership to ensure compliance is a top priority and modeled throughout the organization. Drives a compliant culture through actions and decisions to instill trust. Advocates, educates, and promotes optimal practices and new developments. Encourages asking questions and identifying risks to compliance. Champions Microsoft privacy, security, and ethical standards. Advances key compliance initiatives.

Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6 years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
- OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4 years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
- OR equivalent experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 12 years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
- OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8 years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 3 years experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.
- 3 years work experience in matrix-based organization.
- 3 years work experience in the technology or software industry.
- Proven experience in finance, accounting or a related field, with a track record of managing financial operations and leading without authority.
- Commercial Licensing business experience is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting; Proven analytical skills to provide insightful financial analyses.
- Ability to think strategically and provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions; Experience in developing and implementing financial strategies.
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders, bridge understandings and partner to seek optimum solutions for Microsoft.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve financial issues and challenges.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial analysis and reporting.
