Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than one hundred datacenters and one million servers. Our foundation is built upon and managed by a team of subject matter experts, who work tirelessly to support digital services for more than one billion customers and twenty million businesses in over ninety countries worldwide.
Within CO I, the Core Datacenter Services (CDS) team is responsible for delivering improving the overall availability and efficiency for Microsoft’s cloud business. We have multiple teams focused on both Microsoft and lessor datacenter performance and all aspects of datacenter utilization effectiveness that includes power, water and labor. We are seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager - Supply Chain to support the Supply Chain program across datacenters globally.

This role is located either in one or all hub locations - Atlanta, GA, Washington, D.C., Redmond, WA, San Antonio, TX or Phoenix, AZ.
Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates will need to relocate or reside within 50 miles of the hub office location.
This role is eligible for hybrid or remote work, up to 100%.

Responsibilities
- Lead Supply Chain Strategy: Develop and lead the end-to-end supply chain strategy for processes, systems, and analytics, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving continuous improvement.
- Identify Opportunities and Gaps: Lead customer engagements and industry research to identify complex opportunities and gaps in supply chain and operations solutions, integrating product usage and data to generate impactful plans.
- Drive Alignment and Improvements: Coach teams to develop problem statements and hypotheses for supply chain and operations solutions, perform experiments to test these hypotheses, and drive alignment between stakeholders and Microsoft's strategic goals.
- Design Integrated Solutions: Collaborate with Software and Hardware Engineering to design architecture and integrated solutions for supply chain and operations processes, ensuring future-proof and customer-centric technical solutions.
- Define Program Goals and Metrics: Translate organizational needs into program goals and prioritized deliverables, define success criteria and performance metrics, and mentor others on these practices.
- Orchestrate Development and Implementation: Build relationships to drive the development and implementation of supply chain and operations solutions, track project schedules, manage dependencies, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Monitor and Improve Performance: Partner with Data Science and Engineering to collect and analyze performance metrics, derive insights to improve supply chain solutions, and lead customer supportability efforts.
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 6 years experience technical program management
- OR equivalent experience.
- 4 years of experience leading end to end strategic supply chain programs across procurement, planning, distribution, inventory, and logistics
- 4 years of experience developing and implementing complex technology solutions in a distributed global environment
- 3 years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Bachelor's Degree AND 10 years experience in technical program management
- OR equivalent experience.
- 8 years experience leading end to end strategic supply chain programs across procurement, planning, distribution, inventory, and logistics
- 8 years experience developing and implementing complex technology solutions in a distributed global environment
- 8 years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects
- 6 years of experience in data center environment
- 1 year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos)

Salary : $137,600 - $294,000
