The Azure Security DevSec team is looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join us in securing services in the Microsoft Cloud. We work with service teams across Microsoft to evaluate and improve their security posture in the cloud, continuously moving the needle across multiple dimensions of their design, development and deployment security. In this role, you will collaborate with teams across Microsoft to dive deep and evaluate the risk posed by and to a given service, recommend existing mitigations, innovate on mitigations for new issue classes, contributing to the feedback loop that can help achieve these outcomes at scale.
This role is located in Redmond, WA. Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates must relocate or reside within 50 miles of the office location. This role is eligible for hybrid or remote work, up to 100%.

There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.

Responsibilities
- Perform exhaustive vulnerability analysis on cloud-hosted services in Microsoft Azure
- Identify opportunities, and implement solutions, to improve the security posture of services across Microsoft Azure
- Bring a growth mindset to tackle new and challenging problems everyday, in an inclusive team environment
- Innovate new approaches to solving security at cloud scale

Required Qualifications:
- 5 years experience in penetration testing, threat modeling, cloud security, application security and performing security assessments
- 3 years experience securing cloud computing environments
- 3 years experience with one or more of C#, Python, Rust, or JavaScript, PowerShell
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
