Overview
We are looking to hire an experienced Software Engineer to join our team! Do you want to work on the cutting edge of distributed systems development and be part of the infrastructure for Azure Edge? Do you want to contribute to the critical solutions, while being a part of a fast-paced and energetic team? Do you want to work on the next generation Hyper-Converged Cloud Platform that natively converges virtualization, compute, and storage into a resilient, software-defined solution?
The Azure Edge Infrastructure team, which is part of the Azure Edge and Platform Division is looking for a dynamic and self-motivated Senior Software Engineer with a passion for distributed systems. As a member of our team, your work will have a broad impact across multiple products including very large private cloud datacenters and Microsoft Azure. You will be exposed to latest technologies including Hybrid Cloud, Containers, and Storage Spaces Direct, and help contribute to Microsoft’s next generation Azure Edge Platform.

Required/Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 2 years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C , C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

Responsibilities
- Designing distributed, scalable services.
- Implementing highly reliable multi-threaded features.
- Optimizing performance, and rapidly solving problems.
- Writing tests and ensuring high ship quality.
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- OR equivalent experience.
- 1 year of experience with system development on Windows or Linux.
- Cloud Background check: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2 years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C , C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- Solid coding skills in C or C or C#, demonstrated experience of operating systems, virtualization, storage, networking, distributed systems and/or cloud technologies.
