Pay: 20.00/hr - 21.00/hr

Position Summary:

Microtech Knives is seeking a Blade Finisher to join our Marfione Customs team, specializing in the final finishing and detailing of custom blades to meet our highest quality standards. This role is crucial in ensuring that each custom knife blade is finished with precision, artistry, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have experience in hand and machine finishing techniques, including grinding, polishing, and coating application, or a strong willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform grinding, buffing, and polishing on custom blades to achieve a flawless, high-end finish.
• Use various finishing tools and techniques to ensure uniformity, smoothness, and precision.
• Apply and inspect custom blade coatings, including anodizing, stonewashing, bead blasting, and specialty finishes unique to Marfione Customs.
• Conduct quality control inspections on each custom blade to ensure perfection before final assembly.
• Maintain detailed records of finishing processes and ensure adherence to Marfione Customs' exacting quality standards.
• Work collaboratively with the Customs Department team to meet deadlines and maintain workflow efficiency.
• Ensure proper handling, organization, and storage of custom blades to prevent damage or defects.
• Maintain and clean finishing equipment, ensuring proper operation and longevity.
• Follow safety procedures when working with finishing tools, chemicals, and equipment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience in blade finishing, metalworking, or machining preferred but not required.
• Experience with grinders, sanders, polishers, and other metal finishing equipment is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform precision craftsmanship.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-end custom production environment.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and ability to work with small, intricate components.
• Ability to work independently and in a team to meet custom order deadlines.
• Willingness to learn new finishing techniques and refine skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods while performing finishing tasks.
• Comfortable working with power tools and fine-detail handwork.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Exposure to dust, metal shavings, and finishing chemicals with proper PPE provided.
