Microtech® Knives is looking for a dependable and conscientious Delivery Driver to join our growing family. In this role, you will play a crucial part in transporting our high-quality products from our Asheville, North Carolina, location to various destinations in West Virginia, ensuring safe and timely deliveries. This full-time position requires a commitment of three days a week, and your role will be key to our operational success.
Your Responsibilities
Safely operate and maintain the company vehicle with pride.- Strategically plan delivery routes to guarantee on-time arrivals.
- Load and unload products with care and organization.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while delivering.
- Collaborate with our warehouse and logistics teams to coordinate delivery schedules seamlessly.
- Provide outstanding customer service by delivering products accurately and courteously.
- Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and obtain customer signatures as needed.
- Report any vehicle or product concerns promptly to your supervisor.
- Keep your delivery vehicle clean and organized.
- Always abide by safety guidelines, state traffic laws, and company policies.
What We’re Looking For
A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.- Previous experience as a delivery driver is a plus.
- Excellent understanding of traffic laws and regulations.
- The ability to handle and transport products safely.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Good physical condition to manage potential heavy lifting.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently are key attributes.
- Open to driving out of state and in state.
- Off on Weekends
