Overview

The on-site Network Engineer shall have a minimum of 6 years of documented operational senior level network engineering experience with expert level understanding of Cisco and Juniper technologies (including, CISCO Unified Call Manager, CISCO Internetwork Operating System 12 , Cisco ISE, Junos Operating System, Junos Space, and Forescout), Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) Routing Protocols. The on-site Network Engineer will also assist in training base personnel and must demonstrate the ability to speak intelligently to all aspects of their infrastructure.

Qualifications

Clearance requirement : Secret

  • A minimum of six (6) years' experience as a senior level network engineer

Required certifications :

  • Maintain a current Cisco Certified Network Processional (CCNP) Enterprise (formerly Routing & Switching)
  • Juniper Network Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA) or higher
  • Must possess qualifications / certifications compliant with the DoD 8140.01
  • Recent (within the past four years) experience in planning, preparing, implementing, testing, troubleshooting, and documenting equipment / circuits transitioned to a Juniper infrastructure
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work with the Forescout platform
  • Must demonstrate advanced knowledge for using / maintaining the Junos Space platform.
  • Must possess the ability to work on classified networks
  • Security or equivalent for IAT LEVEL II
  • Preferred but not required :

  • IPv6 and dual stacked environments
  • Solar Winds Network Management and monitoring tools
  • Junos Space Network Management and monitoring tools
  • Enterprise level circuit diversity, disaster recovery, and redundancy

  • Cryptographic devices
  • Voice over Internet Protocol (IP) technology
