Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for achieving the clinical and sales expectations of the assigned geographic territory and business segment. Success is realized by building strong customer relationships, educating patients and potentially their caregivers, patient insurance and pull-thru activities, Vivistim® surgical procedure coverage, Vivistim® clinic programming attendance and advising physicians and healthcare members on patient selection and the clinical use of Vivistim®’s Paired VNS™ Therapy.
Primary Activities:
The keys to success listed here will lead to identified customers for Vivistim®’s Paired VNS™ Therapy, which this individual will need to educate and assist through the various phases to the sales process. This position interacts extensively with other departments within the organization to ensure the maximum clinical outcomes and complete satisfaction of our patients, physicians, and healthcare customers.
- Passionate patient advocate for access to and use of Vivistim® therapy.
- Develops plans and strategies for creating new avenues for patients to gain access to prescribing and implanting Vivistim® accounts.
- Minimally achieves and preferably exceeds monthly, quarterly, and annual Vivistim® implant and sales goals.
- Demonstrates daily accountability to meeting and preferably exceeding sales objectives.
- Manages accounts in the assigned geography by preparing account plans for top accounts and proactive strategies for identifying and assisting patients journey to Vivistim® Therapy.
- Exceeds customer expectations and contributes to a high level of customer/patient satisfaction.
- Provides detailed and accurate sales forecasting by maintaining reporting minimally weekly.
- Prepares thorough and detailed product presentations for patients, accounts and clinicians.
- Monitors customer, market and competitor activity and provides feedback to company leadership.
- Works closely with the marketing function to establish successful patient/customer access and therapy adoption.
- Manages customer relationships and provides leadership in advancing strategic opportunities.
- Is considered the local “Vivistim® Paired-VNS™ Expert” for their patients, customers and accounts.
- Constant driver of clinical excellence and possesses a “sense of urgency” in goal attainment.
- Demonstrates outstanding product, technical, and clinical expertise.
- Completes all administrative requirements on time and accurately.
- Maintains company standards involving ethical and moral character while professionally representing the company.
Travel Requirements: This position requires daily travel within defined geography and may require business travel of up to 25% outside of defined geography. Occasional attendance of local and national industry meetings, trade shows, and sales meetings is also required.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree (preferably in physical rehabilitation, nursing, life sciences, or business).
- Have a minimum of 3-5 years of documented, successful clinical/sales experience with supportive results.
- Experience selling directly to the (Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R/Physiatry), Neurosurgery, and Physical Therapy) healthcare physician communities.
Preferred Experience:
- Successfully representing and launching a revolutionary, pioneering, and disruptive technology strongly preferred.
- Experience educating and advocating for Stroke rehabilitation patients.
- Experience calling on hospitals and rehabilitation facilities strongly preferred.
- Solid process orientation demonstrated resource management/allocation experience, and the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Intellectual, self-starter and independent thinker, with the aptitude to work autonomously.
- Experience utilizing Salesforce or similar CRM.
- Robust interpersonal skills, with evidence of teamwork and collaboration.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with customers and patients at all levels.
- Creative thinker and appropriate risk taker.
- Understands and is able to operate within appropriate legal and regulatory guidelines.
- Ability to influence decision makers in a large and complex environment.
- Capable of selling new solutions in mature markets.
- Work well in cross matrix organization
- Occupational Therapy training/background is ideal.
