Mid-Am Building Supply. is seeking a dynamic and results-driven District Manager for the Iowa and Illinois region to lead our sales efforts in building materials industry. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building strong customer relationships with existing and new customers within your region. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales leadership roles, with a deep understanding of building materials, distribution or construction industries.
Mid-Am Building Supply is the premier wholesale distributor of building products to America's Heartland. Through our four strategically located warehouses we offer quick and easy access to our inventory of over $32,000,000 of roofing, siding, insulation, windows, fasteners, cabinets, moldings, decking, railing, locks and interior and exterior door products.
We are part of a powerful group of companies with a network of over 86 distribution centers spanning North America. GREAT candidates for this position will have:
- A history of proven sales leadership success in the building material or distribution industry.
- Leading, directing, evaluating and developing a sales force to achieve established sales and profit goal.
- Visit customers on a regular basis to promote and build a strong relationship by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
- Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
- Implement a strategic business plan to expand the company’s market share as well as ensuring a strong presence.
- Handle client escalations and provide in-field conflict resolutions.
- Using a CRM to build superior buyer-seller relationships and managing the sales pipeline to improve sellers’ performance.
- Ensure all company policies and objectives are being adhered to.
- Collaborate with other departments of the company
- A positive, can-do attitude and desire to exceed expectations.
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
EDUCATION
- Associates Degree or three plus years in relevant field.
