Location : Remote Worker in the Mid-America Region (Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, or Texas)
Mid-America Arts Alliance (M-AAA) is looking for an experienced, full-time Grant Writer to join our team. You will collaborate with the Director of Development and other staff to achieve our annual fundraising goals. Your responsibilities will include conducting prospect research on foundations and corporations to evaluate new funding opportunities, contributing directly to the success of our mission.
You Will :
- Conduct the full range of activities required to manage grant proposals and reports following each grant-making organization's preferences and guidelines.
- Perform prospect research efforts on foundations and corporations to evaluate new funding opportunities.
- Work with program, finance, and executive staff to aid in the creation of proposals and reports.
- Compile accurate information to bolster institutional storytelling and narrative development for proposals and reports.
- Acquire and understand our institutional history, range of programs, and future programmatic directions.
- Collaborate to develop communication, cultivation, and stewardship efforts, including regular written updates and final reports to funders.
- Maintain accurate records in the fundraising database and departmental paper and digital files, including submission, tracking, and reporting deadlines.
- Maintain the grants calendar with proposals and reporting due dates.

Working Conditions : Most work is of a sedentary nature, sitting at a desk using a computer, phone, and other office equipment. While a majority of work occurs around a long-term plan, you may need to change priorities and manage additional projects with short-term deadlines that can require overtime.
