Full-Time Lead Dental Assistant Job Description:
Mid America Health (MAH) is seeking a Lead Dental Assistant to join our Ohio team. This full- time opportunity is scheduled to work 40 hours per week (Monday through Friday, from 6:30am until 3:00pm) at the Richland Correctional Institution in Mansfield, OH. This lead dental assistant position is a rewarding, low stress alternative to private practice dentistry and offers full benefits which include medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k, generous paid time off, paid holidays, flex spending, and a health savings account. NO late nights or weekends are required for this position! Compensation is competitive at $22 per hour. There is also currently a $1000 sign- on bonus available for this position.

Full-Time Lead Dental Assistant Job Duties:
- Computer-related job duties to include scheduling, stats entry, processing and scheduling of requests for dental services.
- Oversight of training of DA staff.
- Good communication skills (Lead DA acts as liaison between MAH and DRC administration)
- Organizational skills.
- Leadership capabilities.
- Acquire extensive knowledge of DRC dental policies/procedures.
- Support and enforce MAH and DRC policies.
- Able to maintain Rad Cert and DA chair side capabilities while employed in the Lead (Administrative) DA position, in order to act as backup chair side DA, as needed.
Full-Time Lead Dental Assistant Job Qualifications:
At least 1-year dental assisting experience, preferably Lead dental assistant experience, and certificate from an accredited dental assisting program. Current CPR for Healthcare Providers and Active Ohio Dental Radiographer license required.
