MidAmerica Nazarene University (MNU) is a private, liberal arts university with a variety of undergraduate, graduate, and adult education programs, accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. Job Summary: This position is primarily responsible for gathering course material adoptions and providing solutions to the students of MNU. Regular communication with academic department administrative assistants and University professors is vital to ensure accurate delivery of course materials and related information. This position also aids the retail operations of the store.
Course Materials Coordination:
- Coordinate the EasyText program, MNU’s inclusive access solution
- Gather and manage textbook adoptions
- Maintain course schedule information
- Prepare enrollment estimates
- Accurately record and manage data in the university textbook management system
- Process invoices for payment
Retail Operations:
- Greet and assist customers
- Operate cash register
- Assist with maintenance of sales floor merchandise
- Receive merchandise and stock shelves
- Participate in general merchandise year-end inventory
- Assist with special events
- Direct tasks of assisting retail associates/student workers
- Assume some store manager responsibilities when necessary
Qualifications
Qualifications/Skills Required:
- Attention to detail and ability to work with interruptions
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Ability to manage concurrent activities
- Capable of decision making and problem solving
- Knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Office, email, internet)
- Ability to use specialized software for course material information management
- Demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding customer service
Education and/or Experience:
- Course materials management experience highly preferred
- Previous experience with record keeping preferred
- Retail experience preferred
