University Overview:

Position Description: This position is responsible for managing the University's Continuing Education (CE) program and overseeing the development and administration of courses in the areas of professional development offered by MNU partners: business, service centers, school districts, micro-credential partners, conferences and events, and internal partners. The position will require someone who is intrinsically motivated by starting and operationalizing new initiatives. This position will work collaboratively with the other team members, Program Director, and with external partners, to ensure CE course offerings are responsive to current, relevant, practical, and emerging professional development needs and interests in alignment with the University's and Continuing Education Program’s mission and strategic plan.

    • Demonstrate proficiency in database management, utilization of Microsoft Office Suite, and research capabilities.
    • Investigate issues regarding continuing education students to provide resolutions or direction.

Essential Duties

  • Oversees administrative and operational functions and coordinates activities offered through the continuing education program.
  • Provides or oversees curriculum development and continuing education professional development and/or programs offered by program partners.
  • Identify opportunities for increased revenue through partnership acquisition:  businesses, service centers, school districts, conferences, events, and internal professional development.
  • Coordinate strategic marketing campaigns utilizing Constant Contact, University website, and social media platforms for program partners and internal professional development.
  • Maintain and update files related to budget, revenue, requisitions, documentation of policies and procedures, partners, and other matters pertaining to the continuing education program to operations and processes are efficient and streamlined.
  • Develop the continuing education program in support of educators by creating partnerships to offer targeted and practical professional development.
  • Work collaboratively with MNU internal departments and key stakeholders to identify professional development needs and opportunities that can be effectively met through the continuing education program.

 

Qualifications


Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in education, business or related field.
  • Knowledge of the field of education and needs of public and private school teachers
  • Skill in utilizing Microsoft Suite products for effective productivity in the office
  • Desire to integrate faith into the work environment as MNU strives to offer excellent service in all areas of the Continuing Education Department.
  • Ability to use social media to advertise Continuing Education programs and events.
