Company Description
Mid-America Solar is one of the leading solar engineering, procurement and construction firms (EPC) in Michigan. We install solar in small and larger commercial scale projects across the state ranging from 10 panels to thousands.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Solar Installer at Mid-America Solar in Lansing, MI. The Solar Installer will be responsible for installing solar power systems, using power tools and hand tools, and working in the solar industry. The role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team. This is a great opportunity for both entry level and experienced construction tradesman.
Qualifications
- Solar Power and Solar Systems knowledge
- Experience with Power Tools and Hand Tools or Construction Equipment (skid steer, excavators)
- Familiarity with the Solar Industry
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Strong physical fitness and ability to work at heights
- Experience in the renewable energy sector is a plus
- Relevant certifications or licenses (e.g. NABCEP certification, OSHA 30 Construction) are a plus
- CDL Class A drivers are a plus

Compensation
Starting wages: $15-$35/hour. Experience based. 40 hours per week.
