The Position
The Tableau Support Analyst is responsible for creating and updating dashboards to provide meaningful insights in support of Mid-America Transplant’s life-saving mission. This role is also responsible for triaging Business Intelligence (BI) service requests (tickets), managing access to Tableau Online and optimizing the organization of Tableau content to meet the needs of our leaders and staff.
What You’ll Do
- Triages BI tickets by identifying stakeholders, collecting requirements and assigning requests to ensure quality and timely completion
- Modifies Tableau access for new and existing users
- Updates existing Tableau dashboards to meet evolving customer needs
- Researches and resolves reported defects related to Tableau dashboards
- Creates Tableau dashboards that deliver accurate and meaningful insights while adhering to design and performance standards
- Designs, refines and implements SQL queries and other data sources, promoting the efficient and sustainable use of technical resources
- Organizes Tableau content so that information and insights are easy to find; this includes regularly consolidating duplicative dashboards and archiving dashboards that are no longer being used.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Math, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Administration or Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
- At least three years of work experience analyzing, visualizing, and validating data
- Proficiency with Tableau Desktop
- Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries
- Solid analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Skilled in discovering, understanding and analyzing reporting requirements
- Excellent customer service skills and solid communication skills; written, verbal and presentation
- Skilled at forming and sustaining relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently while upholding core values of excellence, innovation, stewardship, collaboration, integrity, and compassion.
