Who Should Apply
Mid American Credit Union is looking for an individual that likes to be challenged, rewarded, and inspired! The successful candidate will work to maintain all credit union facilities in a professional, cost-effective manner. This position handles all facility-related issues, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, landscaping, general maintenance, and HVAC regularly and on-call. The facility specialist will complete facility, maintenance, and security projects.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include
- Performs a variety of routine building and landscape maintenance duties at multiple sites.
- Completes work orders, inventory control documents, weekly reports and preventive maintenance documents.
- Develop, implement, and regularly review site-specific maintenance logs for each branch facility.
- Evaluate long-term needs in relation to major projects and property improvements.
- Assist in facility projects as assigned.
- Oversees all service providers needed for the building/facilities.

What You Need to Get the Job Done
- Education - High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience - One to three years of similar or related experience. Job specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program is desired.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Working knowledge of power, hand tools and equipment. Ability to complete work orders.
- Physical Requirements - Physical work often requiring standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pulling and lifting. Manual dexterity sufficient to use hand tools. Occasionally lifting up to 75 lbs. and up to 10-20 lbs. frequently.
