Portuguese Interpreter

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Interpreter to facilitate effective communication between professionals and Portuguese spekers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical and legal terminology and be able to translate complex information accurately. This role is essential in ensuring that all parties involved can communicate clearly, thereby enhancing Limited English People understanding. Bilingual or multilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply.

Duties

• Provide accurate interpretation services
• Translate documents and records while ensuring confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Review documentation to ensure clarity and accuracy in communication.
• Assist professionals in understanding their client needs through effective communication.
• Maintain professionalism while interacting with diverse populations, ensuring cultural sensitivity.
• Collaborate with staff to enhance their quality service through clear communication.

Requirements

• Proficiency in at least two languages, with a strong command of medical terminology.
• Experience working in a legal, hospital or healthcare setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure people confidentiality and data protection.
• Strong documentation review skills to verify the accuracy of translated materials.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information between parties.
• A background in social work or related fields is a plus but not mandatory.
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed to accommodate clients schedules.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $19.90 - $25.17 per hour
