Job Description
The Lead Electrical Systems Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in industrial settings such as factories, manufacturing plants, power plants, and processing facilities. This role requires strong technical skills, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to work with complex electrical systems.
This position will lead and supervise others to work efficiently and safely, ensuring that all electrical systems are properly installed, maintained, and repaired to prevent downtime and ensure optimal production levels.
Responsibilities
- Installation & Maintenance
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, conduits, circuit breakers, transformers, and industrial machinery.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical diagrams.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure electrical systems operate efficiently.
- Troubleshooting & Repairs
- Diagnose electrical problems and perform necessary repairs to ensure minimal downtime.
- Use testing equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, thermal imaging cameras) to locate and fix issues.
- Troubleshoot motor controls, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), and automated systems.
