We are seeking a highly skilled Dental Hygiene Specialist to join our team at Mid-Atlantic Dental Partners. As a key member of our hygiene program, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the growth and success of our practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review daily schedules with staff for hygiene patients
- Work efficiently with front office staff to schedule hygiene patients
- Accurately chart each patient's periodontal health
- Communicate professionally with patients
- Perform thorough and gentle prophylaxis for patients
- Administer local anesthetics (if allowed by dental practice act)
- Place medicaments subgingivally for periodontal disease treatment
- Evaluate patient comfort level during treatment
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
Requirements:
- Licensed to practice in state and meet applicable state requirements
- Minimum two years associate degree from a university-based dental hygiene program
- Experience working in a fast-paced dental environment; DSO/Group Practice experience preferred
